ChefPal AI provides:

• AI-generated recipes based on user-submitted photos, text, voice input, or video links (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram)
• Ingredient-based recipe suggestions (e.g., from fridge contents)
• AI cooking assistant chatbot for questions and guidance
• Cooking quizzes for learning and entertainment
• Recipe saving features

The App is intended for informational, educational, and entertainment purposes only.

2. User Content

a. Photos and Audio

You may upload or provide:

• Photos of food or ingredients
• Links to third-party videos
• Voice recordings describing ingredients

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant ChefPal AI a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for providing App functionality.

You agree not to upload or submit:

• Content you do not own or have permission to use
• Illegal, harmful, or offensive material
• Content that violates third-party rights
• Irrelevant or misleading content

b. Text Input and Chatbot Interactions

You are responsible for any text or messages you submit, including interactions with the AI chatbot. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.

3. Use of AI Features

ChefPal AI uses artificial intelligence to generate recipes and cooking guidance.

• AI-generated recipes and responses may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for every situation
• Recipes may not account for allergies, dietary restrictions, or food safety considerations
• The App does not provide professional culinary, nutritional, or medical advice

You agree to use AI-generated content at your own risk.

4. Food Safety Disclaimer

You are responsible for:

• Verifying ingredient safety and freshness
• Ensuring proper cooking temperatures and handling
• Checking for allergens and dietary restrictions

ChefPal AI is not responsible for any adverse outcomes, including but not limited to foodborne illness, allergic reactions, or cooking errors.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App
• Abuse, overload, or disrupt App services
• Use the App to generate harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content

6. Intellectual Property

All App content, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to ChefPal AI and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or sell any part of the App without written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services for AI processing or content access (such as video platforms). ChefPal AI is not responsible for third-party services or their content.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App or AI-generated content.

ChefPal AI does not guarantee:

• Accurate or complete recipes
• Successful cooking results
• Nutritional accuracy
• Continuous or error-free operation

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChefPal AI shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including:

• Cooking errors or failed recipes
• Food safety issues or allergic reactions
• Inaccurate AI-generated content
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
